Feeding Our Kids a Daily Dose of Hope

As today’s youth struggle to find their place in our ever-changing world, Spoonful of Hope is here to deliver the encouragement and motivation they need to overcome whatever life throws at them.

You see, hope teaches kids to believe in the impossible. Hope pushes them to achieve their dreams, even in the face of adversity. And all it takes is a spoonful of hope to make a world of difference. Find out how you can help.

Hope In a Backpack

We kick off each school year right by filling the backpacks of more than 1,000 inner-city, low-income students with supplies and pouring confidence and encouragement into their hearts.

We also partner with local barbers and salons to provide free haircuts and school supplies for 250 additional students, sending them back to school looking (and feeling) their best.

Spoon Feed-a-Family

We invite low-income families to spend a fun-filled, all-expense-paid day with our founder and former Atlanta Falcons football player, Sean Weatherspoon. Each participating family also receives gift cards to fill their homes with festive food and gifts for the holiday season.

Operation Second Half

Starting the school year with a backpack drive is an incredible way to give back, but what happens when the supplies run out halfway through the year? Operation Second Half kicks in.

We team up with Atlanta inner-city schools and teachers to replenish kids’ classrooms with supplies and fill their hearts with a can-do spirit, giving them the push needed to finish out the school year strong.
